Until now Kathryn Lyon''s life has been peaceful if unextraordinary. She is a teacher with a 15 year old daughter and a relatively happy marriage to a pilot.

Nothing prepares her for the late night knock to inform her that her husband has died in a crash.
A she struggles with grief, a media frenzy begins and when the plane is located in waters off the Irish coast, the focus on her husband''s life brings a bizarre personal mystery.
